Thankfully though, Konami knows that licensing is one of PES’ biggest downfalls, which is exactly why they have created a customization system that allows players to not only create and edit team kits but to also import pre-made kits and league emblems thanks to Option Files that have been created by dedicated members of the PES community. This isn’t anything new, as PES has struggled to compete with EA’s behemoth for many years, with licensing often being the number one reason as to why so many players are still so unwilling to make the jump over from FIFA. While playing as an unofficial team has no direct impact on gameplay – teams still have their official roster – many players continue to argue that the lack of real team names ultimately hinders the overall experience of the game.
